do i just put it as an auction then write do not bid, or put it in at a fixed price. But put cash only, advertised out of ebay blah blah blah to avoid fees if it sells?

Personally, I would read the rules and go from there. Ads like that do spoil the site somewhat.

Then why not write in the add a buy it now price into the text and state you can end the auction as car advertised else where and end it just before the end

Yeah, and they could make the same and charge less to proper users if people didn't do this.
Up to you, but personally these annoy me when I see them. It'll probably sell the car though, and ebay aren't my favorite company at the moment, so yeah, your call.
Normal practice is to say if you bid you win a wheel nut or something. Then talk all about the car and leave a phone number.

Just put it at a fixed price, buy it now, but ask people to come view before they press buy it now. Then if they want it, agree to do it out of ebay to avoid fees.
