I need to read whats stamped on a metal plate on the side of my turbo, i cant get my head in there, but can squeeze my digital camera in there, but its about 2 inchs from the lens, and cant get it to focus on it.
Any ideas? i can get a mirror to see it but at a distance and angle

why dont you phone up seat parts tommrow
give them your chassis number ask them to go FI active on your car, and ask them to go to main group 1, sub group 45 on ETKA, then you have all your info, without fucking about with mirrors

yes as they will be able to tell what build year the car is from the chassis number
VSSZZZ6LZ6R123456 would be build year 2006 cos the tenth digit is '6'. That indicates the 'build year' not the year it was actually built. SEAT's build years start like August time or something.

its when they put the chassis number in to etka, what it does is only let them view exactley what is fitted to YOUR car Should come up with the info yoru after

and they may then know when the change over was. Or what james said, as he know his way round VW's ETKA parts system, I know fuck all about that!

Its easy to view the change over, as once they go interactive, the build date is on there, basically if they ssay they cant do it, there lying

this is getting on my nerves now as it seems there is no way of telling the two turbos apart except counting the blades, the k03s has 8, but getting ht eturbo inlet pipe off is that a mission?

steve i don't know if this should be in 'help' or 'snap' day as they might be able to help you on the photography side, don't usually do this but, where would you like it?
going by the rules it is a 'help' question...
