Most people who are gonna spend money on a sound system upgrade their headunit first, mainly coz they have no auxs lol

Its too much of a pain to change the headunit and spen d a bit of money, probably £50, on a wiring adaptor for the steering wheel controls, but you are willing to spend £2000 on an install, and wiring through the car, setting it all up etc.?
If thats you attitude to it all mate, I would suggest putting up with the standard system, or maybe just changing the speakers.

gotta agree with tom, if you can't change a headunit you wont/shouldnt be putting any amp's/subs/speakers into your car

firstly, on some cars, like my old beeza it could handle a good system, but i think with the shitty corsa HU it will be replaced by a double din of some kind just need to find the right facia so it wont look really shoot

silver, the problem is i dont like how aftermarket hu stick out from the dash, i want it flush but i know that isnt going to be possible, whats the best single or double din audio around, if im going to replace it it better be a good one,

the other option is to replace the unit with a better vaux unit, do any of them have aux out

No Vauxhall double din headunits have Aux out, and even if they do, they will not be the best units for output of sound manipulation.

As for the best units, IMO Nakamichi are just about the best you can get, but they are very expensive and look plain.

Here is a nakamichi in Fear's old Corsa B:

And this is how an aftermarket Alpine unit looks in a Corsa C, from Painz's old 1.2:

And here is a link to the silver fascia made by Autoleads for sale on eBay, which retails in Halfords for £22.99:

That enough information for you? And I'm meant to be revising!
