Can a car fail if the ABS light shows up? I mean when he brakes? And then it shows up?

yes as the abs system will be malfunctioning.

i wired my girlfriends abs light up 2 the oil pressure light and that works comes on for a few seconds then goes out

would only fool an idiot tester, as oil light doesnt go out until the engine is started.
Better off wiring into airbag light

with the way mots are every 1 is in a hurry to do tests coz the stupid comps keep crashing so i recon alot of things r getting missed on tests at the mo. might not pick up on it unless they knew it was wired to the oil light might just think it was a bit fucked up as long as it does extinguish shud b ok
