Hey i gotta Corsa 1.4 sport and wanna chuck a 2.0 engine in to it and was wondering what would be the best car to get the engine out of and what new would i need for the corsa i.e. brakes???

you'd be cheaper buying a corsa with the 2ltr XE engine in it already

It doesnt matter, if its the Redtop (c20xe) they are all the same engine. Comes from some calibra's, Astra GSI's and Cavalier GSI's

Ecotec is the later engine which power wise isnt as good as the Earlier Redtop engine.

how hard is it to put it into the corsa engine bay, i.e engine mounts and how hard is it to wire up??

plus if i put the engine from the calibra in do i use the gearbox from the calibra or won't it fit or is the a special gearbox???

take into account that the ecotec is newer,the redtop will be older and may have lost power over the years.I have an xev and think they rate very well against the red top

for a start, i wouldnt recomend chucking the enigne in, 1, you probs wont be able to pick it up and "chuck" it and 2, you could do some damage to car/engine.

u2u lee mitchell, he's in kent, he can do the whole thing for you, and evan source the parts also does a excellent job

not totally true, the early XE had the coscast head, it is non porus and considered a much better engine than the later ones (in astra GSI's etc as opposed to GTE's)
