been phoning around for insurance quotes for the euro bucket, and getting knocked back as i'm 20 and trying to insure a fully modified corsa sri lol.

best quotes i had were elephant, £949 for a year, with a few, but not all (worryingly) mods declared.

cis quoted £959, but they allow for all mods, except engine, at no extra cost, 1st corsa c i had was insured with them. modded parts get replaced with standard bits sorta thing.

took a deep breath and phoned flux, being a bit unsure as i'd had an email quote before and it was sky high.

got a decent bloke and ran through the full spec of the car, he asked what clubs and shows i went to, which was odd, but must help them understand what the owner was like.

anyway, £925, and all mods covered, like for like, so if i smash my expensive rims, they'll replace them so pretty chuffed, not the cheapest insurance in the world, but its cheaper than last year, and all mods are declared, peace of mind n all that.

happy martin.

There have been quite a few posts in the past few months of people complaining about their customer service.

ie, spending half an hour on the phone to them, only to be put though to different departments and not get anywhere.

But their prices and insurance packages are one of the best for young people.

Except they are a broker, not an isurance company. So nothing to do with them really.

They were SO helpfull with my claim, in directing me to right numbers, companies etc, i had never dealt with it before and they were amazing, thats why i stayed with them even tho they were £20 more expensive than elephant.

They are a top company, a little dubious with their admin fees, but they are helpfull and understand mod's unlike most insurers.

Id use em over and over

Yeah they're only an insurance broker, so its not their fault if your insurance companie treats you bad (although they could do something about it and suggest you use other companies).
HIC are the same, the told me i'd be going with 'Redline' Insurance.
The £25 admin charge for declaring mods is just because they have to change the details on your policy and increase the value, The company i'm with charge £25 per time i declare mods, not £25 for each mod.

My dad is with Flux though, great for american vehicles
£235 for 5000 miles a year on a 1953 ford f-100 V8, 5 years NCB
