With the increasing popularity of football on CS and the amount of football related threads cropping up on a daily basis - and not forgetting the upcoming world cup - would it be a good idea to have a Off-day football subsection?

But it's not just lounge dwellers that post or start these football/sport related threads so it's in everybodys interest surely?
Anyway, I like your S2k in lellow, looks cool for the summer.

Incidently - those that are voting 'No' can you please post as to why?
Is it because you hate football? If it is then it won't stop football posts appearing in Off Day, if it's because you do like football then surely keeping all the football related threads in one section would be better?
I'm confused.

being a non football fan, i think its a total waste of time. if you want to talk about football, go on a sport related forum.

Can we have a stupid thread section and allow the people who post stupid threads to only post in there?

If they 2 were made into subforums with only idiots allowed to view and post the rest of the board would be clutter free and very quiet.

Yes, at least that way all the faggots who don't like football will not have to see the threads. Because come on, there are going to be dozens of them

Just because i dont like football does not make me a faggot. Shagging men would make me a faggot. Not liking football means i can think for myself

i personally dont find it fun watching 22 overpaid men in shorts running around a field for an hour and a half chasing a ball around and falling over and crying like girls if some1 so much as bumps into them or mearly brush past them as seems to be the case with most modern 'players'.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I hate that analogy of football that always get's thrown up "22 men kicking a sack of wind around", that type of things could be used for anything:
F1: Bunch of overpaid men driving cars fast round and round 50 times once every three weeks
MotoGP: Bunch of leather wearing homos riding round and round in circles a few times
Cricket: Bunch of upperclass nonces hitting a ball with a bat and taking 8 hours to complete a game
Snooker: Boring men hitting balls onto other balls to put them in holes
Any sport can be simplified to make it sound gay/boring/for gaylords, just because you don't like football (or any other sport) doesn't mean you can insult peoples intelligence with what that particular sport is about in the most lamen of lamens terms!

I don't know if there's enough demand, you really need at the most 48 hours on one page of threads, any more and its not busy enough.
If you want to check where the footy stuff is, go back a few pages and count up every time you see a footy thread, then look how long ago the 25 was. If its over 2 days its a no-go.
Plus mav has to moderate it, so you need to convince him

I agree but there are more football posts on OD than any other subject, and I may stick my neck out and say that if there was a sport sub-section then it'd be more popular than Snap Day and possibly Geek Day.
