LOL...let's do it again:

320*.979*4.54/30= ~47

LOL...are you sure about the figures you gave?

That works out to be 10.4 miles to a litre * 4.54 = 47mpg. Not really tried mine on a run but it only gets about 27mpg around town.

erm....... impossible. unless you have converted to a 6 speed box and drove the whole 320 miles at around 50mph in 6th with a strong wind behind you and the engine was running very lean

my old cav made it the 496 miles to pv last year, then out, to a petrol station, so it was 560 miles and an hour in a hot que at the gate on one tank. motorway running

An xe corsa is a bigger engine in a lighter car, so if you exercise a bit of restraint with the throttle it should be very econonical.

47 to gallon is very unlikely i only get around 70miles to tenner driving relaxed in xe so would have thought 250-270 is more accurate but if u did it u did it

Got 38.1 mpg on a run from Newcastle to Milton Keynes. Not bad for a 1.8 Turbo. Oh and thats with an average speed of 71mph

wasnt calling anyone a liar, just think there may be a misscalculation. lots of 6 speed diesels dont see 47mpg, I also drove my2 litre corsa round for a while, mainly back and fore to work, 90% motorway and only saw 38mpg and most of that was at about 50mph due to the roadworks.

if it did do 47 mpg then well done, but I just think its optimistic!
