Just been playing with this boat; done more on this than I have on dissertation but I sent off for some info from a company called Bugatti Marine in the states about their range of Gas Turbine engines and they've sent an email back asking to purchase the design (but it seems a bit dodgy.........)

have specified it with 2 Bugatti BM-ST 40R Gas Turbine Engines - running 5900 hp each, with a final turbine power of 17700hp per engine, alongside a smaller diesel engine for pottering about which has 1200 hp

should see it doing 80-85 knots on water

aye, cant beat have three DDC TF50's behind you, pushing out 16,000 BHP (max power obviously)

only thing that i dont like about is, for the size, i would have thought they could squeeze a few more miles out of the thing - 300(odd)nm isnt exactly brilliant
