just about to go out and hes saying he thinks 500 years times we wont use planes because only way we will travel is going through yes through the earth

To make that viable at all, even without worrying about any practicalities to do with it, it would have to be faster to travel over land than air.
Which atm it isn't.

Its not and you can't.
The lowest anybody has got is only a few km.
That wouldn't even be through the skin if the earth was an apple.

The future will probably just have faster planes or somat. Maybe teleportation in a few hundred years.
