I watched the documnetary on this the other night and cannot believe how he has been stitched up for this!
Did anybody else watch this? His sentance has been reduced to 10 years with a fine of £71,000

I think it takes the piss.
They have another man making a confession. But, won't let him out.
Scumbags.

its not the fact the other guy has confessed, its the fact he has confessed but refuses to go over there to actually go to trial...

PaulW - Right. I didn't know that he needed to go over to trial.
Surely the government can say give us our scouser back! If he shouldn't be there, get him back FFS.

as the trial was in a different country, the laws & regulations are different, the other guy would need to go over there and confess, but as he only confessed in this country, then there is pretty much nothing which can be done.
alsol the british government dont give 2 fannys about it, as if they did, they would of interviened and sent the guy over, but they didnt, as...
1) it would cost money
2) they just dont care
there is alot of michael shields stuff plastered about liverpool, more and more over the past few weeks!

If they don't release him, we send the SAS in and get him out.
Thats what would happen if I was in charge, sick of these fcuking Liberal faggots running our country, they've got no bollocks and no national pride.

And what if it was the other way around??
If a british waiter was attacked, we locked up an innocent bulgarian?
Wouldn't be so cool if they sent over their special forces to break him out would it?
