The Fabric Warehouse! got this stuff that looks like alcantara but is a lot more hard wearing (supposedly) but it looked sweet - used it on my MDF shelf. £4.50 a meter

they sell stuff like that in motorworld for recovering parcel shelfs. but its prob not the best quality
