Can brake caliper/drum paint be used to do this or does it have to be another special type of paint? Cheers

I should imagine any heat resistant paint would suffice

They don't get very hot though so any car paint will be fine.

I would expect for durability and longevity that heat resistant paint would be more suited inside an engine bay

use hammerite metal paint, i have used it on my brake calipers and its fine, my m8s from cliosprt also painted some of the engine parts on a clio sport 182 and it looks great

Just use normal paint it doesnt get hot.

Normal paint works just aswell abviously it dont get too hot othewise it would melt
