Wise move by Newcastle TBH.

Newcastle dont wanna waste ££££ on getting a high name manager...when they know Glen can do it and he has the respect of the players already.

It says on Sky Sports News
Bookies have stopped taking bets now.

Could be as O'Neil may favour it because he can still be a family man... Instead of the 24-7 job that is club football

Unsure about Shearers next move?

He will need to do training/etc to become a manager and then get molded/etc

But He could just jump into a commentators postion easily.

If he manages/helps manage..what happens if the team plays crap... fans will easily turn against him

Personally I think a Roeder and Shearer double act could work well

Shearer's got too much influence at newcastle, be good to see how they get on without him next season.
