I had trouble with my lass, there are lots of temptations, and it could be very hard for you both to cope. If you're a strong couple, and see having a future together it could be worth it.
As it happens, seems like I'm enjoying a very happy ending, and no matter what problems I've had, it's totally worth it in the long run.

As much as I hate to say it mate everyone in a relationship I know bar one couple who I think are still together (but they both still live dead near home) all the others kinda drifted apart.

She'll prob head out having it "large" mon and wed which are student nights (at least up here)
No doubt some cnut will try it on, she'll put him straight about being in love with you
This wont stop him, and he'll eventually, after a set amount of vodka red bulls get her back to his
Believe me mate, ive been there, and no I was not the boyfriend sitting at home

Even the last time I was down there, some tosser tried chatting her up at the bar, though I dealt with him, no fuss or bother.

I was away to reply with EXACTLY the same thing - but end of the day I'm young and free, I've got 7 more months of being a student and to hell with it - if she's keen then i dont care about the details

Ive not met you nor your gf, so take what I say with a pinch of salt
That goes for the rest of you
End of the day, sit down and speak to her, no point posting on here asking as it will just get you paranoid or over confident that she cant live without you - depends who is online at the time
Good luck mate

Can she not get a placement near where you live so that she can travel daily instead of living in?

my girlfriend lives in halls of residence, luckily she goes to a uni that is hard to get into which means 90% of the people are geeks/gimps. Not just a stereotype it is actuallt true you should see them. Plus she is only 30 mins away. If she went to Shef hallam then i would be more worried as i know what normal lads are like! my mates at uni are right slimey bastards
I said to her before she decided on which uni she wanted to go that if she moved any further away than Leeds or Sheffiled then it would be over. Both cities have top Universities so there was no reason to go anywhere further.
It's good now as i have a bit more space to see my mates, and she has more friends. I trust her so everything is fine.

schoey - I kinda know exactly how ya thinkin
couple of years back my lass went to live in at myerscough college Near Preston [North West] i was thinkin alsorts like well when she gets pissed at the week ends will she remember me back at home or will she jus go with the flow and do what ever
its easy to say sh1t like "well if you trust each other wheres the problem" but it dont stop these thoughts
my gf Hated staying away from home but for her to get her qualifications for the job she wanted she had to goto this college
i travelled to see her at least 3 or 4 times a week she came home at any opurtunity she could and two start with i stopped there every night for around 3 months Had to sneak me in cos it was an all girls dormuntry
i say have faith there are some decent girls out there !

Shoey, try to remember that whether it be out with uni mates without you, or out at home with her mates without you, guys will always try it on. I know its gonna be hard, but you need to try and trust her and not dwell on what 'could' happen when your not around.
If she loves and respects you, she won't go near another guy anyway

Best thing mate
if you send txt messages frequently or phone calls dont expect imediate replys if you expect imediate replys and you dont get them your mind will start making up different scenarios
visit each other as much as you want or can
try not to question anything she does outside of her studies as this could cause feelings of mis-trust
expect for her to make lots of new friends some may be male [dont forget girls get on well with gays] Thing is to be relaxed and dont let your mind take over
generally be happy for her and be supportive in any way possible
i used to send my gf frequent presents did the trick just fine
