Lo All,

I know its a corsa site, but alot of you seem to have had astra turbos at some point.

I am playing with a lot of options on my next car after crash my saxo vts

I am driving a Starlet Turbo at the moment.

I have been looking alot into a calibra redtop. But I am thinking of just moving straight back to a newer car, 2000/2001 and I am seriously considering a 2l turbo astra of some type.

Being based in the Rep. of Ireland, theres not much of them on the market so will probably need to go to the UK.

What models are available? SRI, GSI and coupe?

What should I be looking for milage and price wise?

Does anyone know of an garages or sources in particular that find nice clean examples.

Cheers for any help!

yeah, but i have to consider age, milage ect aswell

I have been in serious discussion with someone off here about one, which would suit my current needs for a car plus future needs for a doner for my corsa gsi.

but old age is getting the better of me and telling me you want newer and you want turbo

SRi turbo are rare - only 500 made. Spec isn't as good as GSi but they're older so cheaper.

Coupes are far easier to get hold of and you can pick your colour and trim. Start from 6k ish for a 2001.

my thoughts exactly.

found a very low milage one here and was very close to buying it (still might) as it would make a good doner car aswell for my corsa gsi.

but just thinking in the long run, i need something a bit more up to date

As Ian said, decent coupe with reasonable milage, about 6k+ i paid 6400 for mine 01 reg 36k fvsh europa blue with leather(best colour and gotta have leather imo)

not much to look out for really, just fsh preferably and obviously lower miles the better. Amm are a bit dodgey on them and cambelt needs changinf about 40k, best to do water pump at same time..
other than that great cars, well pleased with mine...

does anyone know of any specific garages/people they would recommend or have had previous dealings with that might have or be able to find a clean 2000 coupe?
