is there an engine code on the c16xe that will tell it apart from the x16xe or any other engine? if so where is it located?

its out of the car, so will get him to check. is there any other codes on say the block or head?

There should be a code on the block, i'm not sure whereabout's though.

noticed on the sbd website theres a code on the head, will this be present on all the heads?

engine number is on the block. on the flat bit to the right of the dipstick, paralell to the flywheel in this pic:
but if this is in connection to the pic you posted yesterday, the engine is definitely not a c16xe as the ports were the same as a x16xe/l. c16xe ports are totally different.
