Spent 3 hours in the garage this afternoon, emerged with 3 skinless knuckles, and this progress:

note the lack of clearance whatsoever, not even sure the wiring for the injectors will fit yet...

clearance issues again, there is no chance the alternator is gonna fit there...

and also seeing as i had the camera out, some pics of damaged front bumper...

... and this mean machine over the road...

enjoy

the injectors wont go in facing forward, they stop the manifold from seating down properly by fouling the top of the head, havent got my wiring loom here else i'd try it now
diddy alternator looks the only way, or fit the alternator in front of the engine using a power steering pump bracket. will investigate further once i've stopped bleeding

started to fit the wiring loom, nice and tidily while all areas are easily accessible, also fitted fuel pressure regulator, some fuel hose between regulator and fuel rail, the DISpack and inlet air temperature sensor

c16xe, 0.5mm oversize pistons with 2mm deep valve pockets, 45mm tapered TB's, 288deg cams + vernier pulleys, lightened/balanced crank+flywheel, mbe967ef engine management, 4>1 stainless exhaust manifold, stainless de-cat pipe, 2" bore cat back mongoose exhaust, reduced size alternator
very similar spec to broster, who has achieved 190bhp at some point
edit: ported/polished head, triple angle valve seats, new valve guides, new valves, new valve oil seals
