Bought a cd player on ebay for my car a few days ago. Payment via paypal is taking ages to go through and expected date of completion is at like the end of the month. Its annoying me now and im fed up, regret even buying it now, is there anyway I can back out or am I required now to buy the item.

Usually thats how it works. Only this time its transferring funds from my bank account which is taking so long, then sending them to the person.

Should have just used a card.
Well unless the seller agrees to it and doesn't leave you bad feedback there's no way you can get out of it no.
Just ask the seller.

If you pay by PayPal, the recipient 'receives' the money in his PayPal account straight away, regardless of whether you've had any money in yours or not.

The physical money from your bank account is usually debited by direct debit, and this can happen whenever basically...

For example, I bought a PC off eBay, only had a few quid in my PayPal account, so it used that money plus the remaining amount from my bank, but the money from my bank wasn't debited until a week later.

I suppose you could always email PayPal and ask when the next direct debit run for your account will be?

It doesn't come out of your bank instantly, as I have stated in my previous post.

depending on their account, they might have to actually log into paypal and manually accept the payment before it will be received.
