Just moved into a new pad and am looking into getting a telephone line in. I rarely ring landlines and generally my mobile free calls cover all my calls so wont use the landline much at all other than for the net.
Had a look on the BT site and the cheapest option they do is the £11/mth. 5.5p per hour doesnt seem bad but it looks like you will get charged that if you ring for 2 seconds? Does that seem expensive? I havent got a clue to benohest how much it normally costs off peak.

Thanks, Mark

That's the option I chose for my BT landline. As far as I know there is always a minimum charge for calls. 5.5p isn't bad and with that option you can be on the phone for up to an hour without it costing anymore!
