Took the corsa and the impreza up to crail today...

Both cars struggled a bit for grip

Fee had her first shot on the handling track with her car
I managed to snap the throttle cable on the corsa whilst on it the bodge repair (as usual ) meant that I couldnt get full throttle and that it idled at 3k revs Doh! Dont think the car was affected by the full throttle too much.

The corsa has a better time in it...I should have let the pressure in the front tyres down a bit to help grip. there's still a bit more weight to come out as well and the remap to come...
so all in all...not too bad for 185BHP

The impreza was a bit slidy on the sprint track...quite a lot of understeer but the bum was easy to catch an control

classic....

Fee was in the psgr seat during the wee session on the sprint track.... with the corsa. She was videoing it.... or so i thought! Just watched the vid of the dash, loom and feet. The camera wasnt even zoomed out! She said she had her eyes closed most of the time

Dont think she was too keen on the skitzo corsa..... she was a bit better as a psgr in the impreza..... untill i spun it.... twice

Its easier to drift than i thought it was.... very easy to sit with the bum out coming out of corners

Thats it dropped off at dastek now..... wait and see what the outcome is Also getting them to fix the throttle linkage too...

So... nexr steps are....

sort out suspension ( i was running a less than ideal 1/4mile setup!!! I had it higher at the front!) The rears are seized so i cant adjust it properly!

Get the rest of that dead weight out... a couple of KG's i'd think.

Move the battery and water bottle to low down in the back

Bleed the brakes

its a pity fee fucked up the video of the sprint track..... a few arse out twitches over bumps etc.... but generally pretty good... Track was mega slidy though, and i still managed to get a hint of understeer!

The impreza was great fun on the sprint fig8. Understeer'd like a cunit, but just popped the arse out with power and stayed there.... unless you over did it which i did twice

all i have to do is stab the brakes and turn in and the back tries to overtake the front really should sort my brake bias out.
