what will i need and need to do?
can i keep my gearbox and brakes? mine is a 97 1.2

calipers are the same, need the 1600 disks. g.box will work, but best off buying the engine with the box on it.
really need to change the suspension struts to the 1600 ones aswell, unless you already have upgrades suspension.
use the mounts off the 1.2, will need a mpi fuel pump, and the exhaust from the fannymold to the centre section needs changed.

just buy a 1.6 16v.
more reliable, less fuss, higher spec everything, better interior, less to insure................

Calipers the same?? WTF i think not. 1.2 8v discs are solid, 16v ones are ventilated, they are much much thicker

just get 2ltr brakes
And the 1.2 mounts are fine and needed if there is no PAS
