Is there a charge for recieving funds?
Seen on ebay a few times to add 3% etc when paying by paypal
Im getting money sent by paypal and the guy said it wont cost me anything to get it. So why does everyone ask for 3% charges?

If you receive a payment that someone's sent from a credit card, or if you've ever received a payment funded by a credit card, then you get charged to receive money.

Not sure what they are using to send it.
He says it wont cost me anything thats why he wants to use it this way. And wont cost me anything either. But its a large amount and I will be sending it to my bank account, so I will get charged for that yea?

you'll get charged a % when he sends the money to you and then again when you withdraw the money to your bank account but not if its over £50.

Yeah if you're withdrawing more than £50 from your PayPal account to your bank then it won't charge you for that bit.
If they send the payment to you and it charges you to receive it, you can refund the payment and they'll refund the charges. Then tell the person to add the 3% and send it again.

You pay 3.4% on every penny you receive, plus extra if it's a Credit Card.
e.g. Someone pays you £100, you walk away with £96.60
