Went downstairs to get some cereal and just as I was about to leave the kitchen I saw this big fuck-off rat/mouse (it looks grey - must be a rat?) in the middle of the doorway!

I think it's dying (must have eaten some rat poison that was placed underneath the kitchen cabinets etc.), so we put a bucket over it with a hoover on top to stop it escaping until I can dispose of it in the morning!

It was still breathing etc. but didn't move even when the flash went off from my digital camera!

Andrew - it's a rented house

Siberia - it's big enough to be a hamster, it's one big fat rodent!

rats are clean animals....why do people think otherwise??? granted they may at one time have carried the plague, but they do infact send a large proportion of their day cleaning themselves

It wasn't me that killed it, it was the rat poison. I'm not gonna keep it in a cage as a pet FFS it's vermin just like pigeons!

I could have done worse though... Could have done a 3CM and stamped on it!

Are they meant to be so fat?

Mind you, a load of my mum's budgie's millet went missing the other day... Maybe he's been feasting on that?

Love rats, very intelligent creatures, apart from when they eat rat poison.

Not being funny but these days it not really normal to have mice/rats running round your house! I would either move house or get Rentokil out ASAP. Its not good really.
