According to some people, just a filter and exhaust. I very much doubt this.

I like these. My mate was thinking about going to look at one the other day, had a few engine mods and a remap, stripped etc.

Is the one you are going to look at standard?

Probably Filter, manifold, exhaust, and cams. But no remap.

If it was remapped it would be ~160.

if it's cam'd it'd be very weak cams. If it's not cam'd they're probably lying

stuart mitchel's I think was just decat exhaust and filter, and supposedly 149 bhp - however, by his 1/4 mile times of like 15.8's etc - it suggests maybe the power was a bit

i thought these where quick any way, wouldn't of thought the 149 BHP with a decat, manifold and cams would be questionable

your mate needs to go to a reputable RR then, and not one of the thousands that dont calibrate there RR's properly, my 106gti was making about 147bhp with a 421 manifold, cold air induction kit, grp n exhaust inc decat, and dastek engine management system

The group n exhausts are amazing, I still cant believe you would see near 20bhp increase from an exhaust and induction kit though. They have been proven 6bhp increase alone on rallye s2's.

my vts ph2 single plug ecu, with a deact, 4-2-1, viper, s/s piper, and a remap made 141 on the rollers, think with cams like pt51's they should be around 150-160 depending on the rollers and engine

Realistly you'll see an honest 140bhp with a 4-2-1 manifold, Grp N system and a good induction kit.

Fitting a Dastek would give you a slight increase on 140bhp.

After that you really need to start thinking about fitting cams.

Fitting 708 Cat cams in conjunction with the above mods should give you 157bhp if you've set the cam timing to the recommended setting.

If you do buy the cams spend £49 on a 7800rpm chip off Ebay from a dude in France because you'll need the extra rpm.

Dastek cant increase your std rev limit... even if they say they can...

If you fit the cams without a remap it wont idle very well if at all and it should give you 149bhp.

The GMC manifold is a 4-1.

Perhaps the 150bhp cars were heavier... or were they 106 Gti's also?

Who's RR was your car on?
