Right the plug that goes into the distriputor is the one i am on about.

For months now i have had problems with the car cutting out and so forth and have never been able to track down the problen.......... until 2day.

Every time you touch this plug or disturb the wiring going into it the car tries to cut out

Should this do that?

If not, what options do i have?

what engine is it? if its the same as my 2l XE i think its called a hall effect switch, i had similar symptoms. you cant buy the plug separate, need to replace the whole distributor.

1.2 8v buddy. Cant see how to unplug it all though.
