Got a phone call yesterday from a film company, they saw my car on the shelves on Fastcar mag, contacted fastcar for my details, asked me if i was up for doing an advert with my car, its camellot scratch cards, basically were using a shitty corsa, smoking etc police pulls it over then someone scratches the scratch card and the money they win could create my car................pretty cool imo........well along those lines, i was buzzin my tits off at this thinking how cool it would be to see my car on adverts etc, were willing to come up on the wed pick it up on a low loader, use on the Thurs - paying £500 for the day and drop it back off for me so no petrol would even need to be used. Great im thinking upto this point. They said they would have to phone vauxhall to confirm they are ok to use their make etc on the advert.
Got a reply back tonight............................................They disagreed to letting them use their name on the advert Gutted or wot!! Fukin vauxhall thought with an advert like that which would go out to millions watching etc their name would get out even more than it is now. So no advert for me and £500 missed out on

Yeah I cant see why they would have to get permission off Vauxhall. You see adverts all the time where they are taking the piss out of shitters and I bet they didnt get permission for those!

Gutted for you too mate.
Didnt the DVLA use a modified corsa ( a red one if my memory serves me well ) in a big add campaign they had running on billboards and the TV?
Stand up for EQUAL RIGHTS mate
They sanctioned one, why not another

E-mailed back again after a convo with a mate tonight
basically along the lines of: the few adverts on tv at the moment,
1) carcraft advert where they part-x the shitter for a new car and it falls to bits, they removed the logo/badges etc so your not using the manufacturers copyright logo
2)that advert with the 2 twins who were both hit by uninsured drivers
there are a few adverts when you look carefully which have cars with makes/logo removed
So i mentioned that my car has nothing refering to the make or model and obviously looks nothing like it so if they did this to a standard corsa etc would it be ok?
Awaiting reply - knowing my luck highly unlikely haha

Someone in my football team is the one who comes out the coke machine in the advert. He gets ripped every game.

its like that direct line pet insurance ad too, neither of the dogs shown in the ad have "collie" badges anywhere, so why should vauxhall care about yours
