for £500 u cant complain. no history of engine or if its had any seals etc done, guy is pretty vague and is still registered as a 1.6 
buy it strip it sell bumpers etc, rebuild engine and put it in yours

Haha, nah, i wanna buy an XE pre done, so i dont have to mess about with fittin an engine and everythin. good idea though, i just cant be bothered with the hassle

Yeah I would ask about who did the conversion, what mileage the engine is on, what parts have been replaced etc.
With it being an 11 year old car the bodywork isn't going to be anywhere near the standard that your current one is but suppose you could have it resprayed!
and get some normal numberplates on it if you buy it cos they look crap
