Just last night i was visciously attacked by a tescos shopping trolley!..seriously though,i was in tesco's car park trolleys were everywhere, all over the road and parking bays etc, turned a corner (by a shelter so couldn't see brilliantly around it) and there was a trolley coming straight towards me on my side of the road!I tried to avoid it by going onto the other side of the road but hesitated due to an oncoming car,so the trolley hit my car in the passengers door n left a huge dent across the door and rear quarter and some nice long scratches .Got out to see if anyone had pushed the trolley down the road, but noone was around so i guess it was the wind that had blown it into my car, went to tescos today to complain about trolleys being left all over the place and see if i could get some compensation... sorry for the story folks.just thought id share lol

tescos are liable in this situation, even if they have parked at owners risk signs, if a trolley rolls into your car and damages it 100% tescos are liable, it is there responsilibity to ensure trolleys are kept safely in the bays

That is one huuuuuuuuge block of writing!
Sounds like a pain in the arse though! I work in a Store, and Trolleys aren't left around in the car-park at night for this reason. Should have a valid reason to complain I'd have thought.
Give it a go

I was in a local DIY carpark waiting for my old man to get whatever.....i was sat in his car and at the time there were gale force 180 winds lol
The car park was on a slope, next thing i heard was a crunch, a trolley had rammed into the side of the car, huge dent!
Dad didnt bother taking it futher as he said they would blame it on an act of nature! lol
Try complaining dude, might as well!

doubt it will be on camera, most stores dont have the whole carpark covered by cctv, and if they do it wont be recording permanently.

I was in Tesco the other month when it was really windy. Loads of trolleys all over the car park when a massive gust of wind pushed the trolley's... There was 2 cars parked together at the other end... A brand new jag and think it was a 106... the trolley went racing in the middle of the two cars Not sure if any damage was done!

Don't forget to take some pics for proof of damage etc.
