I just got my 17s on and looking at lowering it FINALLY!! I just need some advice as too how low i should go? offset is ET45 heres a couple of pics, Cheers people

for value go for some 35-40 springs! any lower and it scrub like fuck!
if you have the cash get a full suspension kit form the main company like FK, Koni, GMax.

ohh and it crying out to be debadged as well!

Cheers mate do you recon 40mm would be fine? It will be getting debadged when i find a simple way to do it lol

how big are your alloys? if they are 17"s i would surgest 35mm..but id smaller 40mm is fine!

yeah they are 17"s with 205/40 tyres on, Will have to look for a 35mm kit then

40 would look good, i dropped mine 40 on 17's looked like this:



As it happens i have a full -40mm setup for sale (the springs that were used in that pic)

How much mate and what springs are they? What offset were your wheels?

mines was -40mm with 17s and didnt sit that low.

Wheels are too big imo , but you should get away with 40mm

Ah right, what offset are your wheels then? Mine are ET45, do you recon i will get away with 60mm on the back? Or should i just put loadsa wait in the back to find out

My wheels are offset 49...I aint to sure about ur offset with a -60mm drop on the rear....

save up, get some decent coilovers then you can play around with it as much as you like, until you get the perfect compromise!
or just super looow!


Btw, i was in kings lynn yesterday for stock car racing, weather was shoot

i got 17's on my corsa m8. i wanted 2 go as low as i could on springs.so i went 4 g-maz 60mm springs from my m8s old nova. had big problems. the front is fine,but the back rubbed like fuck & i had 2 cut my arches out & replace 2 rear tyres

Sell the wheels, get the right offset and then lower accordingly about -40mm is realistic on todays roads, but its down to preference anything lower will require matching uprated shocks

Trust me, it was wet!!
I was there to watch these..............


They are awesome but the Kings Lynn track is a shale track, and about 20 of these with big block chevvy V8's with about 800 bhp on soaking shale makes for an interesting sight!!
