Instead of Sebastian Loeb, Colin McRae would be the man to use from the world of rally cars.

Pretty quick on a bike, think he has one of Niall McKenzie's factory bikes as a toy and drove a Ferrari to 3rd place in its calss at Le Mans a couple of years back i believe.

No this is something that I would love to watch on tv Ive got so much respect for valentino as ive followed him right from the start of moto gp. Didnt he set a lap time in a ferrari formula one car a while ago which nearly matched schumachers?

I think he could definately beat alonso overall.

Rossi is an amazing talent, on motorbikes, and alonso is an amazing talent in F1, but there is so many differences between them. They are different sports at the end of the day, Rossi just wasnt on the pace in an F1 car, and i honestly believe it was a Ferrari PR stunt.

But...what about the race of champions thing that they had on last year? schumacher and loeb were involved, why not Rossi, Alonso, etc?

Rossi is an absolute legend. alonso doesnt have a hope in hell in my eyes.

Rossi is just naturally talented at anything motorsport related.

Alonso doesn't even deserve the chance to do that imo. Rossi is a legend, alonso isn't. F1 is to car orientated imo. rossi has won on different bikes proving he is a legend.

Omg I used to think you were alright.

I doubt they would let a f1 driver near a moto gp bike either it's a totally different kettle of fish. Why the attack on cosmo just because he's talking sense

Theoretically I reckon rossi would kick ass, alonso is no-where near as special and good point whoever mentioned mcrae

I thought the same, god knows why he did...must of been a bad day

I agree though, Rossi would definitly win without a doubt, he has already shown how fast he is in an F1 car.

3CM...there was talk of it and he has done some driving in an F1 car at Ferrari, where he was meant to of given some good times. If it does happen I imagine it'll be in a few years.

Rossi would win definately..

like previously stated its easier to drive an f1 car than a moto gp bike..

driving an f1 car you just got to know the limits, no need to worry about body position etc

moto gp bikes have 250bhp and weigh 900kg's on average, theres a lot more to think about on a bike, let a loan the strain on your arms and your only actually sitting on the bike for something stupid like 10 - 20% of the race

As for Rossi cant wait for this year, struggling with his new michelins, could only get 10th fastest, with his team mate Colin Edwards taking the fastest time, and with the extra practising he will be doing with F1 cars..

Don't rekon he's gunna do to well :-)

Watch out for capirossi, marco and Hayden imo!!

Thats what i was thinking!

Tom - there is no reason why alonso shouldnt be able to do it.

They all do charity events, football matches where there is as much chance of braking a leg or something. Fair enough a moto gp is a total different ball game. I think you will find alonso can ride a bike or he wouldnt be so keen on it would he!
