Thats not gonna be cheap....

The 5th gear syncro has started to wear and crunches a little when going into 5th gear! Ah well, best stick my left bollock on ebay to cover it

More expensive than a re-build and rare as rocking horse shit 2nd hand, also will prob have or develop the same prob; re build is about £400 to £450

Nah its quite a complex job, the gears aren't in sync so not just a case of taking the casing off like on some cars. Cars also got a LSD which gets in the way i think; spoke to a few mechanics and they said they wouldn't touch it and a gearbox specialist is the only real answer. Just takin out and re-fitting is a 6hr job

Just change the fluid (see if that helps) & sell it!!

Dont think that will solve it mate Ah well car still will stand me under what it worth with the work done so not all bad just not got the money to have it done at the mo Think i shall be driving the 306 for now

£450 is a good price though to be fair. Does that include fitting and removal though or not?

Its a common problem with the ATR's £450 is all in yes, drive in and pick up 3days later so not to bad

done 94K, it is a common fault on the ATR's tho Can get it done parts for free apparently through honda as a good will gesture, but you pay the labour which i think works out more expensive

ahhh 94k makes more sence i though u were gonna say low milage one!!! was gonna be worried if it was low milage, how do u like the type r part from having gearbox prob in comparrison with other cars u had

Still low millage for one of these mate

It is the most complete car i have had mate, perfectly balanced, goes like stink and very good value for money. Also you have th added bonus of room for 5 and so comfy front seats Fuel isnt the best tho, 82 miles to £15 of optimax driving carefully, but i guess power has a price
