My misses is after a new car, nothing to expencive, needs to be ok spec, no older than 2000, nippy and good to look at.

we have arrived at the polo GTi, can be had for 5k, which is good...

what are peoples opinions of them?

she wont be modding it really, maybe exhaust induction kit of some sort, lower it. look great as standard i think! hummmmm mr Iles! where are you!

ne cars but i think i prefer the lupo, altho ive seen polo gtis with luvly factory bbs split rims

lupo is affordable but a bit small really. will be like our main car for a while as i still have only the one car, so want something with a bit of space....

also the bbs split rims are sexy!

1.6 16v yeah but its a small car, 0-60 in 8.5? so not disapointly slow

think thats made our minds up then, just need to sell her fiesta.......

was a toss up between this and an se2, but the astra is a little bit too expencive really.

consider a bora TDI.. much more reliable.. the bbs rims on the polos tend to corrode quite badly they do look nice and go ok, not too unreliable, we dont really see many at work except for services..

i got my polo gti 2 months ago and i love it to bits. Nippy handles well and the benefit of awesome build quality!!

Engine wise, they arent tuneable at all.
Would love to get mine on some coil overs and refurb the alloys.

not tuneable at all, thats disapointing! hummm..... sure we can sort something out.... any problems with induction kits etc? would be a viper.... they dont chew afm or anything
