will a battery cover keep the damp off the battery because somtimes from cold it does'nt sound as if it wants to start, it starts first time but i have to hold the key longer before it kicks in!!!

any tips

battery cover will do sod all. it is taking longet to start because its winter.

is that all, it wont start getting flatter and flatter? i just had a new 4 yr battery from halfords, it says extra starting power

I would have thought a battery cover would stop the acid and power evapourating?

Dont you remember doing experiments at school with lemons acting as batterys. Well lemon juice evapourates, so would your battey acid so best get a nice carbon cover on there to save it.

these are batteries not lemons, acid wont leak out and power wont evaporate. if anything get some battery terminal protector for about 99p form a motorfactors

Summertime is when you have to be extra careful.
The scorching sun will leave you battery completey dry. All you'll have left are the pips and some skin.
