Phoned up my local dealers because I need to get my clutch master cylinder replaced asap.
Spoke to some women who was obviously the receptionist, i ask to speak to service, she tries to put me through but comes back, sorry hes with a customer can i take your number and get them to call you back. I give my details.
20 mins later no call so i ring back, can i speak to service please, she tries to put me through, but she comes back again, sorry still with a customer, il get them to call asap.
So i go on lunch, 1 hour later still no call, so i get my mate to ring so it doesnt look like im being a pest. She instantly said sorry service are busy. So i thought bugger this, so I rang straight back and asked to speak to parts instead thinking they might have the booking details. Women put me through to parts no problem. Spoke to the guy but he couldnt book it in, so i ask for service and the parts guy puts me straight through! WTF
Also heres some prices that may surprise you
Seat price for master cylinder replace - £199 fitted
Skoda price for master cylinder replace - £130 fitted
VW price for master cylinder replace - £300

Are they not all the same engine though? lol!
Yeah some places can be like that if service is busy, I used to be receptionst and sometimes got told to hold all calls and take a msg if they want to leave 1 but they obv wouldnt of told parts that so they would of just put the call straight thru

what did he look at to tell? afaik there are no visible signs unless its leaking as its usually the internal seals that go. How much of a job was it?
