So instead of withdrawing £100 I'd get Euro's instead?

Yes. I was somewhat surprised when I was in Sydney and I could only withdraw dollars instead of pounds...

You have to know how many euro's you need to withdraw, as it will not show £10, £20, £30 etc.
What i do before i go to anywhere with euros is to write down rough conversions so you know how much you are being charged/withdrawing etc.
