Nah, it's been debated loads on cliosport.net and the conclusion is that while one has more BHP, the extra weight it has with the leather etc makes it the same as the lower BHP 172, if that makes sense?
Cliosport is a useful site if you need any more info on them

I went on ClioSport once. They were trying to argue that a Clio V6 is a better car than an Evo Haven't been back on there since

a std Corsa LET wont do a 12sec 1/4mile. The LET works very well in the corsa IMO, its about the most fun ive ever had in a car. Awesome machine

it all boils down to which model you buy, a friend of mine has a 182 and its really quick for a standerd car...
172's also come with half leather and are roughly about the same weight
the cup is a lighter model as it no air con c/c etc, which means out of them these are the quickest (cup models)
she decided to buy the normal 182 because the cup is more money for a car with less toys.
out of all the models the (172 & 182) the 182 trophy is the best buy as it's the only one to hold its money due to it being a limited edition model (500 produced)

172 cup is fastest of the bunch. 6.7 to 60 IIRC and more hardcore than the 182 IMO

I got a 172 with the leather, air con, abs that the cup doesnt
yeh the cup has turinis ovely blue colour but i wanted the luxuries to go with it!
Whatever anyone says there faster than a mildly tuned corsa off the start!
Mine puts the power down so well and hardly spins.
There a riot to drive as well which is quite a turn on

Not much in it - 0.3 of a second, tops, and about 1 mile an hour.
Newer car is presumably heavier and therefore a paltry ten horsepower increase isn't going to go very far.
