i was mapping out a synoptic this afternoon, seems you have a very prominent arctic trough heading south. scotland will bear the brunt of it though, and i suspect N England too. should lose its energy by the time it reaches Southern areas though

Bet we wont get snow in the North West, only rain. Snow always goes down the East side of the country

snow doesnt fall as prominently on the NW coast because of the geography of the land, but when a severe trough like this one heads south, there aint nothing gonna stop it. so expect it to get extremely windy and cold
