ive got 16" with a 40mm drop and its fine. However it all depends on the offset on the wheel. if its right you could get away with a 60mm drop with some 15".
You ideally want et49-45 with 49 been perfect. This is should be printed on the wheel somewhere. take one off and have a lookie to see what offset you have got

im on 15" TSWs, et38 i think, lowered 40 mm, back is close front cud easily go 60mm down, but dont do the just springs method, get shox or coilovers preferably then u can go -80 etc...

probably would, and you would need to do some arch mods, VipeR-X used to have street octanes ET38 lowerd 60mm or more

You will regret it mate it will be more hassle in the long run, i would find some with offset of ET45 or ET49 for perfect fitment

My mate said

So what should I do?

changing the shocks wont effect the ride height only the handeling.
so standard shocks and lowering springs will be the same if the springs are used with matched dampers.
And if you did have to change the standard shocks once a year thats alot of hassle.
