Can someone please find the thread that was posted a little while ago explaining betting odds please.

Or could someone explains betting odds for me?

if the odds are 5/1, you win £5 for every pound you bet. so a £10 bet will get you a £50 returne

if its 5/4 you win £5 for every £4 you bet. the bigger the dofference in 2 numbers the more winnings, because its unlikey to happen. the smaller the difference the more certain the bet is that you will win.

if its 100/1, and you bet £2 you win £200 and get the £2 back.

if its 5/2, and you bet £1 you win £2.50 and get the £1 back.

the smaller the first number the less you win, but also the more chance it has of happening.

Exactly right guys, so if for example Chelsea are playing Liverpool your better off putting money on Liverpool because Chelsea always win so you wouldn't earn as much.

If you put your money on Liverpool and they fluked it then you would win a fair bit because obviously they arent favourites.

PSTFU, if you had any sense, you would realise that since there arent as many people using it as ebay, you can find some real bargains, with little competiton.
