300 is possible but ur need to spend a little more to make it reliable also. if its going into a corsa i would suggest a rebuild 1st as it will save money in the long run

If it gets done, it will be treated like a small furry animal... or traded at vaux for a new unit

so thats £2300 spent all ready..... £1700 for a new lump on exchange and around £600(if you extremely lucky to get a second hand let that cheap)
see... not cheap... cars are a pain in the hole... think i have to get my bike back in action...

U dont want a Z20let as it costs more to get to those sort of levels!
u want phase 3 EDS £400 odd quid
or Vmax evo 5 about £400ish im sure
£150 bigger intercooler, £110 injectors, £90 fuel pump, £681 (delivered) Matheus turbo kit
can also buy copies of the chips on the net from various places at a fraction of the price!

Depends condition of the engine really!
my mate managed to get a LET engine with an f28 box and tx box for about £200
fair enough the wiring was burnt and he got no ECU, but the engine was in bloodu good condition.. until he put 26PSI of boost through it and done the woodruff key

If i were to do it all again! which i may decide to do if i keep the LET would be!
Bottom end!
Oil Spray bars,
uprated oil pump
new water pump
steel rods (through beardy group buy if he still has em)
Low comp forged pistons (matheus Again)
Cossie rod bolts
new bearings etc etc
Head would get a port polish,
new tappets,
XE inlet cam,
Vernier pulleys
Steel timing gear (SBD)
Large tophat
Larger boost pipes
larger intercooler
440cc injectors
walbro fuel pump
Matheus turbo
Plus odds and ends!

anything modified from factory spec is not going to be reliable, people just expect things never to break.

acclerated wear driving style and servicing.
It is often quoted that a good well looked after and regularly serviced LET with a good strong kkk turbo will be able to acheive 300bhp with only so much as adding a FMIC to lower inlet temps and obviously upgrading engine mangement.
There is someone on club calibra running phase 3.5 on a lower comp pistons and has been for 2 years with no mishaps.
Its all in how you treat it IMO.

Mines totally standard bottom end and head. Gets loads of hammer. But is also looked after well.
Not let me down yet!
Its about to come to bits though.
