think he only pulled as his revs to about 7500 and mines 6500 so he is on the power longer? am i wrong??

Sorry mate but the 172 wasnt even trying or the driver was simply a monkeh

My mate has the GTi 180 and that cant keep up with his G/f 172 in his own words

twiggy not to piss on your fire, but the 172 would destroy you if driven by someone who has a faint knowledge of changing gears

Wouldn't mind a go up against a 172, got a feeling it'd beat me due to less weight and a couple more horses.

Had a Mini (not a Cooper S) try it on earlier. Wasn't standard so unsure as to what the engine was. Either way it wasn't a bad little car. No match for the mighty Ibiza though

i over took the 172 who was chillin on a dual carrageway.... then he flew past me.... so i booted it after him and caught him up at a round about.... then we booted it the slip road and went up to about *20 ish and i backed off

this week i have played with:

saxo vts
clio 172
mini cooper s
2 litre corsa (mates one)
golf 1.8 turbo gti.

best match was the 172. pulled away from the others easily.

1600 on tb's. running at 170ish bhp@ 7500 rpm (153 bhp @ wheels). currently running at 8500 rpm limit tho.
