You going beginning or end?

If its beginning then you'll probably be OK, if not then its risky but could get perfect weather. You'll have to head towards the Maldeves and that way if your worried about it being hurricane season, as carribean and around there will be in the same situation as cancun. There is less to see heading that way though, Cancun has good water sports, beaches, Mayan Ruins, nature reserves, etc.

Cancun was levelled though last year so i rather wait a bit longer before going the maldives is amazing though go all inclusive as everything is imported via both boat and sea plane, so even a mars bar is close to a fiver.
