Dont you just hate this?

I drag myself in no matter how ill I am, they get a slight cold or stomach ache & they HAVE to have a day off. Its bollocks

Just had a phonecall from one of our lasses saying she wont be in tomorrow, she has a cold Left early on both Thursday & Friday & then rang in sick on Saturday. Its nothing serious either as she's been to the doc's about it.

I think she needs to STFU & have a Beechams

Mate of mine always has the day off if he has a cold, my idea of a cold is a blocked nose not a good enough reason to stay off work. I work for my dad though, so i'd have to be dying to have a day off.

If your off sick then the first 3 days taken should be without pay then if they are off longer than 3 days they need a doctors note
that will sort the slackers from the geniuinely ill people
slack mofo's

Yes I can

But...

The thing that is a load of bollocks is that if you bring it up with them & start to question them about it etc then they can (and sometimes do) say that they're being picked on/bullied/whatever

Another good example is a lass who used to work for us went AWOL & we didn't see her for about 2 or 3 weeks. The procedure was utter crap, had to wait a few weeks, then send out a letter f warning, then wait another week, send out a disapliary hearing, a week later have that & if they dont turn up for that then you can dismiss them. The lass came to her disaplinary hearing & if we hadn't told her a little white lie ( ) she could've just walked straight back into her job again as if it had never happened

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

But people generally are ill, why should they be punished for others slacking?

I havent had a day off ill for almost 2 years. In fact, I havent had more than 4 days holiday in the last 1 1/2 years.

I have a sister thats like that Matt, she only works 2 days a week cos of her kids, but conveniently gets ill on monday and tuesday (the days she woorks) but is never ill rest oof the week its always over petty things and is made worst by the fact she is a bit of a hypercondriact (sp). To top oit off, when we raise the subject with her she almost brags about how she cant get sacked for taking the time off (taking the piss more like) because she worls for the NHS and she reckons they have some sort of rule which means she cant get sacked for being ill.

Stupid lassy ass wet blanket imo.

I just remember someone saying how guys get a good grilling for time off, whereas women can just say "womans problems" and they get as much time off as they want

Illness isn't a problem for me, it's just a feeling, so I march on regardless, unless it's something where if I carry on, I endanger others or risk or I'm seriously injured.
