i thought it was sent out automatic from a computer about two weeks after the old one expires its an 80 pound fine
just sorn it tho it dont cost nothing to do and u can tax it whenever stops u getting fined

"it don't cost nothing" so what does it cost? only joking. I think "pauls corsa" is right. Your best bet is to actually look up the DVLA website.

i looked it up a while ago, there is no le-way no more inregards to late taxing of cars

There is no grace period now however they dont send out fines straight away, if your car is spotted with no tax by a DVLA spotter van tho it will be clamped.

you have the 1st of the month to get it, or the 2nd if the 1st is a sunday, that's it, although I have left it a few days till I got it, and not had an issue, but don't fancy pushing it really.
