dont quote me on this but it doesnt matter what year i think you can do it to any. but not quite sure.

correct, you can put a decat on any car although putting it on any car/engine produced after august 92 will almost certainly fail on emmisions

De-Cat it, then just swap back for MOT.

Easy enough.

some police vehicles are equiped with emission monitoring gear and could fine you on the spot.

having a cat is not part of the MOT. having good emissions is and you can be done for that. IMHO decats are pointless

police are going to start carrying out road side emission tests dont no when it starts. you can get dummy cats, i had one on my polo. you get them from supersprint.
