TBH i fooking hate valentines day. Richie bought me some flowers and tbh im glad it was just a bunch of flowers instead of some gimpy little teddy from clintons and rubbish like that! Women expect way too much!
Going out for a meal, sitting with about 50 other couples in a prison like setting, all lined up, all happy smiley. Makes me feel sick

i disagree. IMHO people who love one another shouldnt use this day as an excuse to tell someone they love them, love lasts longer than just a day.

Well I disagree with you and challenge you to a dual
I take my lass out to a nice restaraunt and buy her a nice bunch of flowers and she really appreciates feeling special. However I do also make a habbit of doing it once a month, perhaps not to quite as nice a restaraunt, just to let her know she's special all the year too.

The proper reason for valentines day is to show someone who you are NOT with, that you want them
Not to spend money on someone you see every day, and spend all your time and money with/on anyway.

but it just shows you are agreeing with me though. some people just use this day as an excuse to treat their missus. but you treat her often, which is good, you clearly love her and show your love on a regular basis. I didnt like it when my ex was planning what she wanted to buy me for valentines or what i should get her bla bla bla, because my feelings for her wouldnt be different on valentines day as they were the week before

ok i see. but if you meet someone in june, your not going to wait til valentines day to make a move again its just another excuse. if i met a girl last week who i liked i would have the back bone to stand up and show my feelings for her as soon as possible.
