Bought some tyres from costco for my daughters car adn bought 165 70 13's - as that is what they said it should have (didnt have car with me at time). However on inspection it only has 145 80 13's on steels is that correct ?
What is the maximum tyre that will go on a 13 J5 and also to change for alloys what size fits without any modification of car - thanks

i'd say 195/45 15 are the best to go for from a standard 165/70 13 to avoid modifying the car. but if you wanted bigeer go to http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html can use that to see the differnce in the speedo readings from different sizes.
an i'm not sure about the 145/80 13 being the correct size. best to check haynes manual or somethin

not sure about the tyres.
But you can get anything upto 17" i believe without mods to the car.
Just make sure you get the correct vauxhall offset (et49) and you will be fine.
