I used fine sand paper ive only done the front bit so far, then braso to get the lines out of it, someone had tried to spray mine which is why i used wet and dry..

Looks very nice, not sure on the painted plastic cover though. It's similar to mine although I have black samco turbo hoses and red silicon vacum hoses. I want to do all the water hoses next.

where can you get aluminium oil caps for an x16xe rather than plastic ones painted

what kind of oil cap do you have on that?

think it would be possibile to stick the top of a metal one on to the bottom of a plastic one

Take the engine & loom out...go nuts, then put it back in and reroute the loom:

Must admit i'm cheating...diesels don't need a lot of wires to work
