i want a diesel
has to be very good, reliable and able to tow if need be
needs excellent mpg
also has to be able to handle, be comfy, and well built

2k budget
and under 70-80k milage as new as possible

What about a Volvo 850 then?! Fcuking cheap to buy (bout £1k), good mpg, great perfromance, comfy, good work horse and will shift a bit of stuff/tow a good weight when needed! And, if you find the right one, will have quite a lot of toys and extras such as alloys, leather, air con etc etc etc

passat tdi, could easily get high miler ex-rep mobile for around your budget there pretty nice to drive too and don't handle that bad for a big car
